Our Vision
Understanding the philosophy and origin behind every action of the non-profit Cœur Historique.
Security, Freedom, Vision: these three words sum up both my personal thinking and the very essence of our non-profit's approach.
1. Security as the Foundation
To move forward positively in life, one must first be secure. Financial security, food security, physical integrity and the security of one's home are its absolute foundations. Without this minimal base, the human mind is entirely absorbed by immediate survival.
2. Freedom as the Next Step
The next step, once this security (even relative) is achieved, is freedom. Although this concept is perceived differently by everyone, freedom consists in being able to choose one's actions, freed from the heaviest physical, financial or legal constraints. It is the space where one regains control of one's existence.
3. Vision as the Goal
Finally, vision emerges from this freedom. It is the choice, the right and the ability to accomplish what we consider fair and useful; an action that nourishes conscience and directly contributes to the common good.
Why this approach explains our origin
While this presentation may seem abstract, it is nonetheless the driving force behind all our actions. Personally and within our team, we believe we have reached this "zone of freedom". It may not be vast, but it is enough to allow us to carry a collective vision. This is simply impossible for those who struggle daily for their most basic security.

Because we are fortunate to have this freedom of vision, we put our energy at the service of those who are temporarily deprived of it:
Restoring the Security of Home
Through our emergency logistics interventions and the SOS Diogenes programme, we stabilise the fundamental living conditions of our beneficiaries.
Restoring Freedom of Movement
Through the SOS Social Taxi, we break geographic isolation and offer the freedom to travel, seek care and rebuild social ties.
